USCIS released yesterday on May 4, 2015 that data entry for the entire 2016 H-1B cap subject petitions has been completed. Moving forward, USCIS will begin to return any H-1B cap subject petitions that were not selected. Over 230,000+ petitions were received for FY 2015. Due to this extremely high number, it is difficult to predict the exact time of the return for all filings. USCIS has issued a statement asking all petitioners not to further inquire as to the status of the submitted cap-subject petitions, at least until they receipt their receipt notice OR an unselected petition is returned. USCIS will issue an additional statement upon the return of all petitions.
